A Massive Well Done to both the Prep Girls and Boys today on their performances and attitude at their 1st matches of the season.

The girls played some really lovely open hockey ensuring to use their players at the back to outlet the ball moving the ball from side to side of the pitch. The midfielders and forwards linked cleverly together using the width of the pitch well and with great movement they moved the ball up the pitch creating lots of goal scoring opportunities. Ruby Felton in goals had some super saves to make particularly in the second half as Rathfarnham continued to put on the pressure and never gave up. Great goals from Molly, Saibh, Hannah and Lauren Walsh scoring a hat trick in her first game for Wesley Preps. Well Done Girls.

The boys had a tough game but put in a dogged performance and never gave up right to the bitter end. Graeme Wildish had a superb game in goals in his first time to play in this position. He was the hero of the day for the boys who gave him a singing ovation as he stepped on the bus to go back to Wesley. Goal scorers for the boys were Harry, Jack and Hugh who also like Lauren got a hat trick on his first Wesley Preps match.

WELL DONE TO YOU ALL you should all be proud of yourselves.
